Testimonials

Having been to two Guitar Summits (2004, 2006), I can say that this camp is not just about learning to play jazzy chords and scales. It's also about learning to improvise and express oneself through phrasing as well. The instructors were all capable of teaching and inspiring play. I came away from the camp overloaded with new ideas. From Steve Groves' awesome playing tips and turnarounds, to Jon Damian's creative improve lessons, to Max Racicote's passion for playing, this guitar camp is for the player who wants to get better and wants to play what they feel. Oh, and if you like pate chinois and sugar pie, this camp is for you!

I was really impressed with the guitar camp. The amount of instructional time provided far surpassed my expectations.

The camp itself was clean and I learned a lot.
I  would say that the camp was a great success.

Hi Steve -
You asked for a testimonial.  Here's one from the heart.

The Guitar Summit turned out to be much more than I could have hoped for.  You managed to bring together a group of people whose love of guitar playing was the catalyst for friendly discourse, intense learning, abandoned jamming, and just plain fun.  We were privileged to spend time with great instructors like you and Jon, and your guest Jake Langley put the whole experience over the top.  Sign me up for the next one!

Cheers -

Here is some feedback on the summit.
First, the quality of the instruction was super. Three great players with communication skills to match.
The venue was good-not too fancy but comfortable. I hope you hold next year's summit at the same place. I do appreciate that the instructors were extremely patient with the less well qualified students.
Please let me know about plans for next year and I will try to recruit my guitarist buddies.
Thanks and have a great year.

Would love to be there, I really liked it last year and have been inspired
ever since. Thank God for the guitar, especially in times of stress and
the fast pace.

For anyone who absolutely enjoys the guitar, at whatever level of playing, you will be among like-minded people at the Guitar Summit. It was very inspiring to partake in the weekend and be immersed in this energy.

Just to let you know, I plan on attending the camp this year and I will also try and spread the word out to have more students this year.  I want to do more work with Jon Damian.

Thanks.
